Across the prologue, you’ll witness his encounters with an ex-girlfriend running a café©, a hotel that won´´t hire him, a lewd librarian with secrets hidden behind the stacks, and a rundown pub that may just become his salvation—or his downfall. As he navigates rejection, hard bargains, and strange proposals, the question remains: can he turn a crumbling pub into a profitable venture? Can he carve out a future for himself in a town that seems indifferent at best and hostile at worst?
