Flowerglade is a cosy, wholesome VN/Sandbox set in a lush fantasy forest, where the player is tasked with unlocking the dormant desires of four forest spirits that inhabit it. It is ongoing, made by a small team of experienced artists, writers, and developers that lean more into sandbox elements than typical visual novels, providing you with the means to explore desires at your pace.

Developer Notes
Hi everyone!
Currently, Flowerglade is just a sapling. It's taken around 8 months to get it to the state it's currently in and it's been an absolute blast to work on. I'm collaborating with a small team who are doing an incredible job helping develop and create this world.
We have a ways to go. I want to begin fleshing out a story in the next update, in a way that will set up the plot for the rest of the game. I'm aiming to have around 10 chapters of a similar size to the prologue, that will take the player on a journey through the different parts of Flowerglade - Jungles, swamps, plains, different biomes, and areas of the world.
I want to introduce new characters, as well as new Blossoms. There'll be several NPCs with gameplay functions - travelers coming through Flowerglade, various supernatural creatures, and forest spirits, characters who can be interacted with in various ways to the benefit or detriment of the player. This would be done in one-off scenes or full-on multi-part side quests - of which there are a few planned out already. These side characters would likely be anthropomorphic animals (think a lil racoon standing on its hind legs, rather than a furry - to keep with the cute vibe).
I have a huge list of different gameplay mechanics I want to introduce. Minigames, upgrades, unlocks, items - equipable and useable, dating mechanics, and more.
I want to develop the Blossoms into rich characters with depth. I want their sexualities and personalities to bloom and flourish over the course of the game, into something meaningful and hopefully memorable to the player.
And of course, I want more artwork. Lots more artwork.
Despite the long list of future features, it's not as overly ambitious as it sounds. A solid 60 to 70% of the framework to add everything I just mentioned has been added already and is currently in v0.1.02. Of course there are bug fixes and balance tweaks to take into account as we move forward but that's all part of the fun! What it's lacking is the content, which I hope to add progressively in the future.

What excited you most when reading this post? Was it the thought of exploring the world? Meeting different characters? Getting to know each Blossom in depth? Maybe an overarching plot that expands the lore?
As the developer, I'm in love with all the ideas, but the next step is to start narrowing them down and perhaps making a roadmap for the next few updates.
